there are guys that still address women with ‘ma’am’.

at first I was taken back. it hit the ear wrong.

now, I find it refreshing.

to those gentlemen… cheers.

You know what the problem is?

You don’t live in the South. :) We’re polite as fuck down here. ♥

it’s true because when I visit my family in NC and random folks say hello and are genuine polite…

I have the biggest screw face on! I’m from NJ/NYC so I’m used to road rage and folks pushing past me in the subways. and when some one does ‘approach’ me, I’m usually preparing myself for an earful of ‘hey ma, you have nice lips/ hips/ fat butt/ whatever’.

so when I’m down south, it takes me awhile to adjust.

I looooove being called Ma’am. Lord have mercy I love it. Bless the south and its beautiful specimens.

A lot of women are thrown back at me calling them ma’am.  I do it often, even up here.

AP’s mom told me not to call her ma’am, and when I slipped up and said it anyway, she was smiling like I had some common sense.  I’m a Southern Gentleman, this is what I do.
